ANTHOLOGY Volume 1
A works-in-progress showing of original and adapted short-form theater pieces
Conceived, written, adapted, and orchestrated by Rachel Kodweis and Jon Froehlich, in collaboration with the ensemble:
Meghan Brede, Michaela Buckley, Jonathan Lowery, Jen Nieves, and Kiefer Schenk, and Ryley St. Rose-Finnear
ANTHOLOGY VOLUME 1 is a dynamic series of pieces linked by the question: How do we relate to the inevitability of change and transformation?
august 29-31, 2025 @ the AUGUSTE ROOST, rochester, NY
When nothing seems certain, do we recoil, adapt…or dance? With humor, heart, and power, Infinite Spark invites audiences to experience a dynamic series of collaboratively-created theater pieces in which “progress and regression play in the key of transformation”.
The pieces that comprise the program include:
Watercall: A surrealistic foray into the wild—nature has a plan—who will hear it?
Love’s Dream: A Fragment: An early moment of a longer piece exploring a soul’s journey from separation to communion;
Petra: A further adaption of a one-act for a solo performer based on the true, and more-than-true story of an artist in exile;
The Flower: A Solo Sketch: A meditation on the humanity we can’t seem to find;
A Long Fatal Love Chase: An adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s long-forgotten gothic novel into a rollicking small stage (tréteaux) performance featuring five adventurous performers who create everything from scratch with only their bodies and voices.
